The poncho is a two-pack for $12.99 and the umbrella is $10.99. You may not take heed to this suggestion, you can’t say I did not warn you though, lol. It is a strong possibility it could rain and it could rain while you are standing in line trying to get into an event. If you think they will let you stand inside while it rains, think again. You will be out in that rain and they will just look at you while you getting drenched.
I love this for lounging around or for a casual day out and about with sneakers. I styled it here with booties and a hat! This was taken up on the cutest restaurant/bar, P6, which I will for sure be going back to when I am back in Austin in May.
Accessories To Keep On Deck!
It has a really cute tie detail on the sleeves. It was a little chilly this evening, so I styled my favorite denim moto jacket over it and of course, paired it with booties. You can never go wrong with boots in Texas! This dress comes in a few other colors, including an adorable black printed version. This is the most comfortable swing dress! It comes in several colors and is the softest material.
Bring your hemline down with an elegant but flirty midlength floral dress. To keep the look casual and remain comfortable all weekend long, style yours with a pair of suede booties. To all fashionistas, SXSW has already arrived upon us this season! Do you want to join with the ingenious indie artists and tech-savvy whiz kids?

If you want to look a little more dressy yet still appear effortless, swap the crop top for a soft band tee to don with the striped pants. Elevate the look with edgy accessories such as patent leather ankle boots, a chain-strap bag and disc earrings. For this very reason, I would avoid white. I did use some white t-shirts above just for variety and you may be able to keep it clean.
The 25 ensembles that follow prove that SXSW — and its fashion-forward fans — have come a long way. I’m wearing blue, which is uncommon for me. I wear all black pretty much all the time. Wearing blue is like, symbolic of me going to a festival, and putting on a look.
What To Wear At SXSW
I also absolutely love my friend Steph’s outfit! Those wide leg red pants are ahhhh-mazing. Long maxi slit dress + chambray long sleeve top that I put on when it got chilly at night. Well, to answer your question, YES IT DOES MATTER. I believe what you wear ALWAYS matters. There will be people from all over the country and other parts of the world at SXSW.
Gum, because you’re going to be talking to a lot of people. Wear shoes that you can trudge around in and get dusty. Wearing white is to celebrate getting out of the New York winter.

Celebrity sightings are a given, so some effort in what you have on will not hurt. The years I have been, its been kind of a toss-up as far as sun goes. No matter what race you are, get you some sunscreen and take it with you. I don’t have any particular suggestions for this one. Just get one that works best for you and your skin. You can get either one of these for less than $15.
It’s also great outfit inspo for any trip to Austin. Versatile Layers - The temperature in Austin fluctuates a lot in March; this means layering pieces to complete your outfit is important. Also, you might consider an outfit that will take you from daytime activities to nighttime events – this way you won’t miss out on anything. These cute friends partied at a Farfetch dinner in more matching looks, albeit monochrome styles. Everything about it's comfy, from the relaxed fits to the sturdy ankle boots, but sexy touches are present thanks to exposed shoulders and a lacy black bra. This little two piece set made me feel like a genie in the best way.
Oversized loose fit white tshirt and black hudson cropped and cuffed vintage jeans overalls, black tennies, and black shades. Vintage Levi's jacket, BDG pants, BDG hat, Nike shoes, thrifted fishnet shirt. Denim cutoffs are always a must, but this spring, tuck a simple boho top into your high-waisted pair. Add a leather belt, booties, and a cross-body bag in similar neutral tones to offset the bright top you're sporting. Notice I included a bag with ALL of these looks for the men and women. You’re going to need it to carry around the recommended items plus free stuff you will get during SXSW.
Don't worry about what else you could be seeing or doing. I get to get some Vitamin D, and chill with people that I know and like. Less than I think I should, because I always overpack. I always end up with like three pairs of shoes that just weigh me down. You try to fit everything in but you can’t. All the good shows happen all at the same time, so you have to pick and choose.
I think this little two piece set was my most popular look from the weekend! I got stopped on the street a few times with people asking where it was from! I wore it with the jacket closed up as a crop top, but it looks so cute with a top or bodysuit underneath it and the jacket open, too.
